  • Exploratree : Exploratree is a free web resource where you can access a library of ready-made interactive thinking guides, print them, edit them or make your own. You can share them and work on them in groups too.
  • MindMeister --very similar to Bubbl with a few more features in creating the map.
  • Webspiration--created by Inspiration. Only out in Beta at this point--moving to pay service April 5th. I have a free subscription to give away!!

Timeline Tools

  • Xtimeline: free website that lets you create timelines and explore timelines about history, biography and more.
  • Dipity: Dipity is a free digital timeline website. Our mission is to organize the web's content by date and time. Users can create, share, embed and collaborate on interactive, visually engaging timelines that integrate video, audio, images, text, links, social media, location and timestamps.
  • Tiki-Toki is an absolutely GORGEOUS multimedia timeline creator. Tiki-Toki is very easy to use, after registering for an account, students are guided step-by-step through creating an interactive timeline. Students can add text, images (Flickr) and video (YouTube or Vimeo) to a timeline. Images can be uploaded from a student computer or found through a search on Flickr. Throughout the creation process, tool tips pop-up to guide students through creation. Students can share saved timelines with a unique URL.
